The area is famous for its sea cliff climbing and is home to the greatest number of sea stacks in Ireland as well as its highest.

This guidebook describes over 1,000 routes in Donegal including a wide range of single and multi-pitch routes that you will find above the sea, by the road, on the islands and in the mountains. In total 25 different areas are covered with all the routes shown on colour photo topos along with a description. Each climbing area has a location map and approach information.
